Intro
Welcome! We're grateful you're here!
Please join us as we elevate the discourse about mental health within STEM and seed the implementation of transformative changes that advance the health and wellness of STEM students, post-docs, faculty, and staff.
Through the community brought together at the convening, we hope to raise consciousness around the state of mental health in STEM and promote actions that attendees can take away to create change at their own institutions. We intentionally present a program that emphasizes how structurally imposed barriers (e.g., from racism, sexism, ableism) contribute to and exacerbate experiences of distress for students, faculty, staff, and administrators within STEM .
The convening's logo is the Adinkra symbol 'boa me ne me mmoa wo', which means "help me and let me help you." We hope this symbol serves as a reminder of all we can do when we learn from one another and work together toward the accomplishment of our shared goals in advancing mental health in STEM.
All sessions are free and open to all. We have sessions for STEM faculty, administrators, and students. You can register for one, some, or all of the sessions. On this site, you'll find information about speakers, the daily schedule, and registration links.
We also encourage you to host Watch Parties with those near you in-person or virtually. Check out our Watch Party Guide for more information.
We'll be updating the site regularly with updated speaker information, additional sessions, and opportunities to engage outside the session.
Please check back regularly, follow us on social media, and share the event within your networks.
